Dylan: What is your favorite place in the world?
Elissa: Traveling is one go my favorite things. I love exploring new places, but thus far, i would have to say either Paris or Tokyo. Tokyo because it is so otherworldly, and Paris is just simply magical.
D: Do you prefer the city or country?
E: The hustle and bustle of a city speaks to me; NY would have to be my favorite. I honestly haven't spent much time in the countryside, but it's defiantly something I'd want to do more of. It's nice to be in a quiet, peaceful place for sometime. Long walks in nature and a more simplistic lifestyle sounds so nice for a few days of R&R, although, I am defiantly a city girl at heart.
D: What is your favorite restaurant at the moment?
E: That's a tough one. There are so many! For a delicious, authentic sushi mean in LA, Sushi Park, it's located in an unassuming Sunset Strip mall but the sushi is out of this world. It's on the pricer side, but so worth it! For brunch, Croft Alley is great, it's located in a little alley on Melrose Place, it is a cute locals spot. I also recently had a great meal at the Butcher's Daughter. I'm so happy they've opened in LA! For a fun weekend meal, the Beverly Hills Hotel or the Chateau Marmot are my to-to's.
D: Who are your style icons?
E: Charlotte Casiraghi for her understated beauty, Rihanna because she is not afraid to experiment, the Olsen twins- I love what they have done with The Row and their personal style is simple yet incredibly chic.
D: What is your go-to makeup look?
E: For an everyday and on-the-go look, I always opt for simplicity. Usually I am rushing out of the house, so the beginning to end process takes no longer than 7 minutes. I take some Glossier Stretch Concealer and cover up any under eye circles or redness. Recently, I've been using Pat McGrath's Skin-Fetish 003 in gold- it is amazing! I love keeping it light and simple for the day, but it is easily build-able for night. A little Bourjois mascara that I found in a Parisian drug store. I order it from Amazon.
D: What is your go-to skincare routine?
E: I love everything SkinWorship! I get facials from Leslie, a skincare goddess. SkinWorship recently launched their skincare line, so I've been using their cleansing ritual, serum and their hydrating moisturizer.
D: What is your go-to outfit?
E: To be completely honest, I don't really have a go-to outfit. I wear what I feel particularly drawn to... usually my looks consist of at least one item that's a little out of the ordinary, whether that be a statement accessory or an interesting lip color. Not gonna lie, though, I do love a good pair of sweatpants!
D: Do you prefer the beach or snow?
E: Beach!
D: Fancy restaurant or picnic?
E: A picnic with great company... doesn't get much better than that.
D: What is your favorite article of clothing and why?
E: My black vintage Chanel bag from What Goes Around Comes Around as it is timeless and classic. I wear it with just about anything.
What are your goals in the next year?
E: My main goal for the blog is to continue creating content that is authentically me. I'd love to travel and explore the world as I find inspiration in understanding and experiencing cultures.
